JONATHAN GLEASON is a writer, university instructor, and medical interpreter, currently living in Chicago. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa's Nonfiction Writing Program and a recipient of a 2023 grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation. His writing has appeared in The Sun magazine, Literary Hub, New England Review, The Kenyon Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and others. His collection of essays about illness and medicine was shortlisted for the Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize and a finalist for the Miami Book Fair Emerging Writer Fellowship.
